European Cruise.
A couple of false starts, hoping for gaps in relentless windy days and quick
dashes between the rain and gales, even incorporating cross decking of crew on
route seemed to be the theme for the cruise this year.
Undeterred, WWYC made it’s way back to Belgian shores and I understand that
other love of my life (Stella A), was as beautiful and generous with her favours
as ever, with copious amounts consumed at our favourite watering holes, along
with a couple of new haunts, the KukKuk(?) and Manuscript (discovered by the
recce party in May) also featuring on the itinery.
Back to home waters and a quick foray to Ipswich to pay homage to Lord Nelson
and it was all over for another year. Approximately 200 miles in all, a full
range of wind and weather, with numerous promises of flag dances (as yet
unfulfilled).
