It was a "condor" moment. It only happens once in a blue moon, a reach
there and a reach back!! It just doesn't get any better than that.
Pity there weren't too many there to witness it.
Not sure Jenny was quite so convinced, being the only female amongst a gaggle
of drunken, giggling men, but at least she didn't have to cook with the Green
Man coming up trumps on the ham, egg and chips front.
Arrived at Bradwell early, (just as well as the marina didn't seem to
believe our beams and wedged us twice before finding berths we would fit in),
but at least it left plenty of time for leisurely aperitifs prior to dinner.
"Dutch" Adrian provided welcome diversion with a goldmine of Tommy Cooper jokes
as well as a thoroughly researched travel guide to our European Cruise itinery,
(if only were we able to stick to it).
Weather wasn't too kind and and early to bed allowed an early rise to catch
enough tide to escape prior to lunch, so an earlier than expected return to
Titchmarsh.
