Easter 2007 Bradwell 2007 Burnham 2007 Deben 2007 Euro Cruise 2007 Brightlingsea

Despite one of the worst summers in living memory, we still managed a fairly full cruising programme, although often reduced to a core fleet of a couple of boats.  However, we did manage to embark on our most ambitious European Cruise to date (nearly two weeks) with crew flying in from Ireland and as far afield as Abu Dhabi.

We were also pleased to witness a new development in the form of chase cars driving round to meet us at various destinations in order to join in the social side of our cruising programme, (having carefully avoided the sometimes cold and often wet passage making).

With our new affiliation to the Stour Sailing Club there were oft threats of additional boats, but I think the tidal limitations at Manningtree, plus the temptations of the club house bar, prevented this becoming a reality.

Let's hope that 2008 will bring us better weather and with several new boats joining, as well as some existing ones being able to join in, we hope next year's programme will prove attractive to as many as possible.
